Finally, BlackRock's ETHA saw over $110 million in inflows just yesterday, making it one of the most successful financial products of the year.
Over $900 Million: ETHA Inflows Reach Record High
According to the latest data from Farside Investors, a staggering $900 million has flowed into the ETHA Ethereum ETF since its launch about two weeks ago. ETF finance expert Nate Geraci took this as an opportunity to review the ETF products launched in 2024.
The findings are impressive: BlackRock's ETHA is already the sixth largest ETF of the year. Four of the five other leading new ETFs are Bitcoin Spot ETFs, which launched in the US in January 2024 and have received billions in inflows. If the current trend continues, ETHA is likely to surpass the $1 billion mark soon. Additionally, the Nasdaq exchange, headquartered in New York, appears to be preparing to open ETHA for options trading. This is evidenced by an ongoing application submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which is currently reviewing whether such trading will be allowed.
However, it may take several months for the SEC to make a decision. Similar applications for options trading with Bitcoin Spot ETFs have been under review for some time. ETF expert James Seyffart explained that a final decision on options trading for Ethereum ETFs is expected around April 9, 2025.
Although Ethereum ETFs have been trading on the US market for two weeks, the expected rise in the ETH price has not yet occurred. The reasons are varied: besides the flash crash that shook the global financial world last Monday, there were significant net outflows from the Grayscale ETH ETF, which similarly impacted the Ethereum price during the launch of Bitcoin ETFs in January. This trend might continue for a few more weeks before net inflows consistently outweigh the outflows.
As this situation may persist for a while, many investors are currently taking the opportunity to support young crypto projects and invest at favorable prices. Presale offers within the Ethereum ecosystem are particularly trendy at the moment. If Ethereum experiences a boost in the coming weeks and months, projects within the ETH network are likely to benefit as well.
