Binance Secures VASP Status in Argentina, Strengthens Global Regulatory Footprint
Binance, a leading player in the global cryptocurrency market, has officially gained the status of a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) in Argentina. This registration, issued by Argentina’s National Securities Commission (CNV), highlights Binance’s commitment to adhering to regulatory frameworks both in Argentina and globally.
This move bolsters Binance’s presence in Argentina, a country that is increasingly embracing cryptocurrencies. Argentina now becomes the 20th country where Binance has obtained regulatory approval, following successful registrations in nations such as India, Kazakhstan, and Indonesia.
Binance also holds licenses in other jurisdictions like Dubai, France, Japan, and El Salvador, further strengthening its global footprint. With this new registration, Argentine users now have full access to all services and tools offered by Binance through its website and mobile app, enabling more effective participation in the cryptocurrency market.
Binance’s Commitment to Compliance and Security
Guilherme Nazar, Binance’s Director for Latin America, emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating, “Argentina is crucial for Binance. We aim to work with local authorities to promote the industry in a safe and sustainable manner, benefiting both the crypto community and society as a whole.”
Nazar also expressed strong support for proactive regulation, viewing it as essential for the stable and orderly growth of the crypto industry.
In addition to adhering to local regulations, Binance has implemented a comprehensive compliance program. This includes strict measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing, as well as thorough identity verification procedures for individuals and businesses to ensure the safety and transparency of its ecosystem.
This regulatory achievement in Argentina reflects Binance’s proactive approach to compliance and its dedication to fostering a secure and regulated environment for cryptocurrency users worldwide.
